“Paris is always a good idea”
The Paris Art and Movie Awards (PAMA) is an international film festival event with official competition and award ceremony. It is the leading independent film festival in Paris since its inception.
We present a selection of high-end films from all over the world in high-end venues all over Paris. We are looking for films creating emotions, made by passionate filmmakers.
We support independent artists. Our program mixes upcoming and rising talents with established and A-list names. Over the years, new-generation filmmakers did compete alongside with Academy Award Winner Sam Rockwell, Academy Award nominee Sharon Stone, Cesar Award winners Vladimir Cosma, Tetsuo Nagata and Jean-Pierre Kalfon, Cannes winner Kirsten Dunst, Golden Globe winners Robin Wright and Gerard Depardieu, Emmy Award nominees Freddy Rodriguez and David Michael Frank, Saturn Award nominee Andrew J. West, Gold Swan winner Laetitïa Casta, Luchon winner Hugo Becker…
The PAMA has been ranked, as soon as its second year, the second festival not to miss in Paris, by The Culture Trip Magazine. It is also listed in the TOP 100 best reviewed film festivals in the world by the filmmakers using the platform FilmFreeway.
We accept short films and feature, in a wide range of categories. We close each year festival by an award ceremony, giving away trophies and certificates and gifts to films, and to filmmakers, cast and crew.
Our goal is to help independent filmmakers screening their films, awarding them, show their films to high level industry talents and public figures. Check our Mission Statement.
We are a human scale festival, often compared to the hottest New-York underground and dynamic events. We have partnerships with medias, established companies, and the screening always take place in grand historic venues in Paris.
We are proud to work, since first year, with the French national charity CHILDREN’S VOICE. We offer free screening to very young kids, who often never went to a movie theatre before, and to young adults, some with difficult family backgrounds.
We have an office in Paris, and another in Burbank (Los Angeles).
We offer an Alumni Network, composed of former winners, nominees, and talents who took part to the festival.
This network grants advantages to share, discounts to attend the screenings and to submit new films.
