LE DEPUTE FREDERIC LEFEBVRE A OUVERT LE 2ème PAMA – July 27th
Le député des français de d’Amérique du Nord, Frédéric Lefebvre, a déclaré ouvert le deuxième festival Paris Art and Movie Awards, lundi 25 juillet 2016, dans le cinéma UGC Odéon.
Il s’agissait là du premier événement dans les locaux après de longs travaux ayant rénové tout l’Odéon, le Danton restant en plein rafraichissement.

OUVERTURE DU FESTIVAL PAR LE DEPUTE FREDERIC LEFEBVRE – July 23th
La deuxième édition du Paris Art and Movie Awards sera ouverte par le député Frédéric Lefebvre, député des français installés en Amérique du Nord.
Il entre en politique dans les années 80, et devient l’assistant parlementaire de Michèle Alliot-Marie en 1988.
Adjoint au Maire de Garche, à l’ouest de Paris, pendant 18 ans, il est un homme de terrain.
Il devient attaché parlementaire de Nicolas Sarkozy, puis son directeur de cabinet lorsque Jacques Chirac prend la présidence de la République.
Porte parole de l’UMP, avocat au bareau depuis 2009, députe des Hauts-de-Seine, secrétaire national de l’UMP… Son parcours riche et varié le porte jusqu’au poste de secrétaire d’Etat.
Depuis 2013, Frédéric Lefebvre représente les français installés hors de France, en Amérique du Nord.
Il travaille aujourd’hui à changer le système du RSI, à défendre l’idée sociale et sociétale du revenu universel, et à travailler avec de nombreux interlocuteurs de tous bords politiques en lien avec ces sujets.
A travers son actuel tour de France et de sa circonscription, il souhaite s’attaquer concrètement aux problèmes quotidiens des entrepreneurs.

NEW PARTNER : UGC CINEMA – June 19th
The next edition of the Paris Art and Movie Awards will take place at the well know UGC Cinema.
We’re happy to move our 2016 edition to the 1st theatre of the UGC Odéon, in Paris, Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood.
UGC is the leading cinema operator in France, second largest in Europe. They run 357 screens in France, and also are a huge producer. They distributed for example Dallas Buyers Club in France, and produced some of the highest ranking box office success.
For several years now, UGC has a join venture with the 20th Century Fox.
To all the independent filmmakers, having your film screening in a UGC is a major opportunity.
This is also a great improvement to our festival, and we’re happy to lead you all this way, since it’s already our second edition.
We believe the job of a film festival is to connect audiences with movies and the artist that made them. Relying on such a quality level provided by UGC, your films will be screening in Paris, and it will be in the best conditions, in this theater :
JOSEPH PEARLMAN RETURNS AS A JURY MEMBER ! – June 3rd
It is a great pleasure for us to announce that Joseph Pearlman, the great acting coach, running the Pearlman Acting Academy in Los Angeles, is returning as a jury member for the next edition of the Pais Art and Movie Awards.
Joseph is the personal coach of Zooey Deschanel, and also works with all the actors and performers that have to host the Golden Globes and the Oscars.
Joseph will be judging, at least, the best acting nominees.

SAMUEL GOLDWIN THEATER – May 5th
The PAMA team attended to the senior year screening of the CSUN University, one of the best cinema school in Hollywood.
5 international student shorts were screened, with a high level of quality.
LOS ANGELES – April 30th
The PAMA founders actually are in Los Angeles, California, to promote the festival and meet future international jury members for the next edition.
FIRST OFFICIAL PARTNERS – March 25th
The PAMA team is now happy to announce the first new partners for the 2016 edition of the festival :
1/ The charity organisation La Voix de l’Enfant (Child Voice) also renewed its presence among us, and we will allow free screenings to youngsters and childs during the festival
2/ Last but not least, we proudly announce a new partner : FINAL DRAFT. FD is the leading software to write your scripts. Cherry on top : 2 copies will be given away to the script award winners in July.

THE PAMA RANKED BY CULTURE TRIP – March 22nd
The Paris Art and Movie Awards is ranked by The Culture Trip
as the second of the “7 Great Film Events in Paris in 2016”.
The PAMA also is the youngest festival listed.

MID-SEASON REUNION – March 1st
Every nominee, cast and crew, jury member, partner of the festival is invited to a special drink on Wednesday, march 23rd.
The “apéritif” will take place at the Cultural Center of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, where the festival itself is held, on march 23rd.
We will make the first announcements about the next festival.

NOUVEAU MEMBRE DU JURY – Sept 5th
Géraldine Beigbeder
Géraldine Beigbeder est scénariste, écrivain et dessinatrice. Après sa maîtrise d’histoire du cinéma, elle travaille chez Gaumont pour le développement de premier films.
Elle collabore comme assistante sur des clips et des longs-métrages, notamment avec Luc Besson et Fabien Onteniente, et intègre plusieurs pool de scénaristes pour des séries télévisées, puis des longs- métrages. Elle a co- réalisé un court- métrage et un moyen métrage : Une famille à bon prix, avec Philippe Nahon, diffusion TPS cinema.
Elle a publié deux romans : Sponsors aux éditions Ramsay et Larguée en péripherie de la zone politique et autres petits désordres organiques aux éditions Albin Michel.
Ses dessins ont été exposés à Paris, Bruxelles et New- York en 2015. Elle est également l’agent et commissaire des expositions de peintures de la Rock star Peter Doherty.
Géraldine (right on the picture) is scriptwritter, author and artist.
She worked for Gaumont, and assisted project with directors Luc Besson and Fabien Ontoniente.
She co-directed 2 movies, a short and a mid-long feature, one starring deep performances’ actor Philippe Nahon.
She published 2 books, and her drawings have been shown in Paris, Bruxelles and New- York in 2015. She also manages Pete Doherty‘s exhibitions.
NEW JURY MEMBER – Sept 5th
Joseph Pearlman runs the Pearlman Acting Academy, Los Angeles. He is an acting coach for Hollywood top comedians, artists and performers. His tips are regularly published in the Backstage magazine, his goal being to help actors and actresses launch their careers and reach Oscar potential on set.
Joseph works with artists like Zooey Deschanel and Gwyneth Paltrow, and he also coaches presenters for all the major award ceremonies, including the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, Golden Globes, and Independent Spirit Awards.
With the highest percentage of booked roles in the industry, Joseph helps actors go into the audition room and win the role. In addition to that, Jospeh is simply a nice guy you can easily work and get along with ! We’re really happy to have him on board to look for emerging talents.

PARTENARIAT AVEC LA VOIX DE L’ENFANT – July 16th
Nous sommes très heureux d’annoncer un partenariat avec La Voix De L’Enfant.
La Voix De l’Enfant est une fédération d’associations, reconnue œuvre de bienfaisance, ayant reçu par deux fois le Prix des Droits de l’Homme de la République Française.
Le PAMA est très heureux de pouvoir apporter son soutien aux actions culturelles vers les enfants, et ouvrira plusieurs de ses événements, tapis rouges et projections gratuitement à des groupes d’adolescents et de primaires.
L’actrice Carole Bouquet est porte-parole de La Voix De l’Enfant, et parmi les ambassadeurs se comptent Bruno Solo, Sébastien Rogues, et Angunn.

Andrew Fry is currently living in Cardiff, UK. We noticed his wonderful drawing on Facebook, and we’ll be showing some great pieces of his work during the Paris Art and Movie Awards.
Prints will be exhibited as a Word Premiere in High Quality, with official opening on friday 25th, + surprise… Look up…

NEW JURY MEMBER ANNOUNCEMENT – July 10th
David Salles est un comédien français vu dans Babysitting, Case Départ, ou encore les séries Bref et Maison Close, tous d’énormes succès sur Canal +. Au cinéma il se pose devant la caméra de Luc Besson (Malavita), ou Nicolas Boukrief (Gardiens de l’Ordre).
Il est l’acteur fétiche du réalisateur Pascal Rabaté, avec par exemple le très beau film Les Petits Ruisseaux.
Il joue également pour David Lambert dans Hors les murs, pour lequel David décroche une nomination pour le prix du meilleur second rôle lors du festival Jean Carmet. Le film est également sélectionné au 65ème festival de Cannes, avec une belle montée des marches.
David aime explorer tous les registres, et se refuse aux enfermements, c’est dans cet état d’esprit libre et créatif qu’il rejoint le jury du PAMA.
Il sera prochainement à l’affiche de Made in Groland de Benoît Delépine et Jules-Edouard Moustic.
David Salles is a french actor you can notice in recent french box offices hits as Babysitting, Qu’est-ce qu’on a fait au Bon Dieu, and Case Départ.
He also stars in major breakthru series from Canal+ as Bref and Maison Close just to name two of them.
He worked with A-list directors : Luc Besson (The Family), Nicolas Boukrief (Gardiens de l’Ordre). He also the favorite actor of director Pascal Rabaté, with for example Les Petits Ruisseaux feature.
He also played a part in David’s Lambert Beyond the Walls. He got nominated for this for best supporting actor at Jean Carmet Festival. The film also was in official selection at Cannes 65th edition.
David likes to try all genres, and refuses to stick to only one area of acting. This is for his free and creative spirit that we welcome him as a member of the PAMA jury !

JURY MEMBER ANNOUNCEMENT – July 1st
Céline Monsarrat est une comédienne et auteur de théâtre. Elle a écrit 13 pièces de théâtre, dont Adieu Monsieur Tchekov et L’emmerdeur du 12 bis, et tourné dans de nombreux films.
Sa voix est fameuse et présente dans tous les esprits puisque Céline est la voix française de Julia Roberts. Elle double également Anne Eche dans plusieurs films, Courtney Cox dans la trilogie Scream, Tia Carrere dans True Lies…
Elle a également prêté son timbre au personnage de Lorraine dans Retour vers le Futur, au poisson Dory dans Le Monde de Nemo, à celui de Stella dans Les Experts…
Bienvenue à Céline dans notre jury !
Céline is a french actress and author or 13 plays. She’s also the french dubbing voice of Julia Roberts, but also Sharon Stone in several movies, and Courtney Cox in the Scream trilogy…
She also made the character Dory so cute for french audience witth her performance in Finding Nemo.

NEW JURY MEMBER ANNOUNCEMENT – June 26th
L’équipe du festival est très heureuse d’accueillir dans son jury 2015 le comédien français Gérard Chaillou. Gérard affiche un filmographie impressionnante avec entre autres Adèle Blanc Sec, La Conquète, Arsène Lupin, Elisa, Michel Vaillant… Il a également tourné sous la direction de Jean-Jacques Beneix, Denys Granier-Deferre, Luc Besson, Xavier Durringer, Didier Bourdon, Eric Assous…
Pour la télévision, il a joué un rôle principal dans la série Caméra Café, ainsi dans la magnifique saga Les Maîtres du Pain. Il est également apparu dans les séries H, PJ, Avocats et Associés, Le Grand Patron, ou encore Nicolas Le Floch.
Au théâtre il cumule plus de 40 ans d’expériences variées, ayant joué des textes de Brecht, Shakespeare, Kafka, et affiche des collaborations avec de nombreux metteurs en scène dont Robert Gironès, Peter Brook, André Engel…

OUT OF COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT – June 24th
The really cool web documentary Our Star Trek: The Fifty Year Mission will screen out of competition at the PAMA for its World Premiere in a film festival.
Directed by Christopher Tevebaugh, it respectfuly follows track of the Star Trek legend; with behind the scene footage of the web serie Star Trek Continues, which have been awarded “Best Web Series” last year in Los Angeles.
